Originally the plan was to maximise all roof spaces here as the council were paying 65p per unit for electricity, but when we carried out our roofing surveys we found the main roof spaces unsuitable for solar 🙁
Using the larger east / west split roof spaces above the offices and the flat roof, we have achieved 58.2KW which is currently making them 84.4% self sufficient from National Grid!! ☀️
We also fitted 20KW of high voltage Growatt batteries to store any excess solar generation and we will be looking into an overnight tariff incentive to fill the batteries at a cheaper rate 💰
Thank you so much to Neil, Ali and the board for all your support and this opportunity 🙌
